NOACA incorporates freight into its planning processes to give a clear picture of how the freight system functions and how it may be improved. Current data and mapping efforts include the following:
- Intermodal Connector Technical Memorandum (PDF 9.77 MB-November 2015). This memorandum contains an analysis of regional intermodal connectors, identifying pavement condition ratings, congestion levels, bridge ratings, crash data, demographic information, and other factors.
- Truck volume information:
- Truck count map (ArcGIS Viewer). To access truck counts, select the traffic icon.
- Change in truck average daily traffic 1988 - 2008 (PDF 1.7 MB)
- Low Bridges Map
- Freight Analysis Framework version 4 (FAF4) is a database compiled by the Federal Highway Administration. FAFz integrates data from a variety of sources to create a comprehensive picture of freight movement among states and major metropolitan areas by all modes of transportation.
