History/Background: The Federal Lands Highway Program provides funding for use by the Federal Land Management Agencies (FLMAs) and Federal Highway Administration for the planning, design, construction or reconstruction of designated public roads that provide access to, through or within Federal or Tribal lands. The Federal Lands Highway and the FMLAs (NPS, FS, FWS, and IRR) jointly develop transportation projects, based on the need and availability of funds.
All regionally significant FLMA projects, regardless of funding source, that affect the public are coordinated with the appropriate State or local agencies responsible for planning implementation of transportation improvements. The attached list of projects only includes projects programmed for construction undertaken by the EFLHD. The projects undertaken by FLMAs with FLHP funds or the environmental studies for transportation projects conducted by the EFLHD or its partnering agencies are not included at this time. This project is not yet included in the NOACA SFY 2024 - 2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). This project is located in Cuyahoga County, scheduled for 2024, and is administered by the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (https://highways.dot.gov/federal-lands/programs-planning/tip/efl-transportation-improvement-program). Upon completion of PPR, this project will be considered for amendment to NOACA’s LRP and TIP.
Proposed Project: The proposed project involves repaving Station Road, the Station Parking Lot and improving drainage systems, in Brecksville.
The project’s estimated total cost, provided by the sponsor, is $550,000, funded with $550,000 in Federal Lands Transportation Program funds.
