History/Background: GCRTA’s capital program is included in the NOACA SFY 2024-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

GCRTA proposes two project funding revisions within its program. 

  •  PID 104564: Bus Preventative Maintenance
    • Reduction to $305,600 by $806,740, or 72.3%, in 5307 funds, and to $76,400 by $201,685 in local funds
  • PID 112109: Rail Car Replacement Program
    • Increase by $130,000,000 in additional discretionary Section 5337 funds, $32,500,000 in local funds committed in 2024

GCRTA proposes to add five new projects to its program. 

  • PID 119702 Main Office Building Elevator Replacements
    • $600,000 in Section 5307 funds, $150,000 in local funds
    • This new project is the replacement of both of the elevators in the Main Office Building that have reached the end of their useful lives. Funds are programmed in 2024 to support the purchase of replacement equipment
  • PID 119703 Woodhill Workforce Development Training Space
    • $800,000 in Section 5307 funds, 200,000 in local funds
    • This project is to repurpose an area of the former Woodhill Garage into a training space for workforce development activities.  Funds are programmed in 2024 to support the design and construction costs
  • PID 119704: Blue Line Station ADA Rehabilitations
    • $16,000,000 in local funds
    • This new project is to rehabilitate eight stations to be ADA compliant. Local funds are programmed in 2024 to support the design, construction, and force account costs
  • PID 119705: Green Line Station ADA Rehabilitations
    • $16,000,000 in local funds
    • This new project is to rehabilitate eight stations to be ADA compliant. Local funds are being programmed in 2026 to support the design, construction, and force account costs
  • PID 119838: Bus Replacement Program
    • $3,266,263 in discretionary Section 5339 funds, $816,565 in local funds
    • This new project will provide six new buses in 2024
