History/Background:
This project is not yet included in the NOACA SFY 2024 - 2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
Phase 3 of the Lakefront Trail Project will construct a 10-foot-wide lakefront bicycle and pedestrian path, extending the facility 6,000 feet to the west from the terminus of Phase 2. Together, Phase 2 and Phase 1 span 3,200 feet west beginning at Painesville Township Park. With the completion of the three phases of the Lakefront Trail, Painesville Township Park and the Village of Fairport Harbor will be connected by an ADA-accessible, multi-use trail.
Phase 3 of the Lakefront Trail Project also includes east and west parking lots and trail access connections accessible from Fairport Nursery Road.
