History/Background:
This project is included in the NOACA SFY 2024 - 2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) in an SLI Group Project. Phase 2 of the Lakefront Trail Project will construct a 10-foot-wide lakefront bicycle and pedestrian path, extending the path 900 feet to the west of the terminus of Phase 1. Phase 1 extended 2,300 feet west, starting at Painesville Township Park in Painesville Township.
When all three phases of the Lakefront Trail are complete, Painesville Township Park will be connected to Fairport Harbor by a 2.4-mile paved pedestrian/bicycle facility.
