NOACA offers staff planning expertise on community-based multimodal transportation projects. The program improves safety and efficiency, and preserves the transportation system. Projects will produce implementable recommendations within an attainable budget. Communities are encouraged to pursue innovative solutions.

| Traffic Safety & Operations Technical Assistance This is the allocation of NOACA staff engineering assistance with traffic safety and/or operations concerns (including, but not limited to, traffic signal evaluations, signal warrant analysis, striping plan development, road diet feasibility, safety audit, speed zone analysis, access management, and parking analysis). |

| Safe Routes Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a program focusing on making it safe, convenient and fun for kids and families, including those with disabilities, to walk or bicycle to school and in everyday life. The planning framework is safety- based, following the 6 E’s of Safety – Education, Encouragement, Enforcement, Evaluation, Engineering and Equity. |

NOACA Community Safety Reports are assessments of roadway safety within Northeast Ohio that identify and prioritize locations with a high frequency of crashes to help member communities focus resources on critical areas that improve safety for all road users. |
