Federal Highway and Federal Transit Administrative - Ohio Division TMA C Certification Review

Every four years, NOACA undergoes a review by the Federal Transportation Administration and the Federal Highway Administration to ensure that the agency is carrying out the metropolitan planning process for Northeast Ohio counties (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina) in adherence to federal statutes and regulations.

This review evaluates how well metropolitan planning organizations like NOACA comply with federal guidelines, as well as examines the relationship between NOACA and the area's transit operators and the Ohio Department of Transportation. A successful certification allows NOACA to continue directing federal transportation dollars to projects within the region.
