NOACA values the process of public engagement, as it remains pivotal to our work in the areas of transportation and environmental planning. Through the public engagement that NOACA has conducted during the last three months on climate action, public stakeholders have provided a tremendous amount of feedback that has further deepened NOACA’s understanding for building and sustaining cohesive communities.

We applaud our residents' effort to drive discussion on these complex environmental issues. Given the demonstration of interest on this topic, NOACA has decided to extend the Climate Action Plan’s project schedule and completion date to allow further community dialogue and feedback. This will enable us to expand our public engagement process and hear more about regional needs and aspirations to better build livable communities. We look forward to gathering public perspectives throughout the remainder of the year as we continue to work together to develop a Climate Action Plan.
