Upcoming Meetings and Events for December 2019

CLEVELAND (Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019)—NOACA committees and staff will hold meetings and events on the following dates and times. The public is welcome to attend.

Painesville Complete Street and Connectivity Plan TLCI Public Meeting

Date:   Tuesday, Dec. 3

Time:   6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Place:  The Morley Library, 184 Phelps Street, Painesville, OH 44077

The City of Painesville is exploring connectivity improvements for the Washington Street corridor and is seeking public input. Community members are invited to share their vision for better connecting residents, visitors and students along the corridor.

 

Business Advisory Council

Date:   Friday, Dec. 6

Time:   9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

City of Willowick More for Lakeshore TLCI Public Meeting

Date:   Wednesday, Dec.11

Time:   6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Place:  The Cabin of Willowick, 28810 Lakeshore Blvd., Willowick, OH 44095

Give your input on the different bike, pedestrian, and transit improvements being considered for Lakeshore Boulevard at this open house-style public meeting. A brief presentation will be followed by a question and answer discussion and voting stations. Share your opinions and vote on the different options.

 

Taylor Road Corridor Study Public Meeting

Date:   Thursday, Dec.12

Time:   6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Place:  Cleveland Heights City Hall, 40 Severance Circle, Cleveland Heights, Ohio 44118

The Taylor Road Corridor Study will help the City of Cleveland Heights and the City of University Heights identify ways to make Taylor Road safer and more desirable for people biking and walking. In addition to an analysis of Taylor Road, two topics will require study in more depth: the Cedar-Taylor Business district and the Hebrew Academy & surrounding neighborhood.

 

Board of Directors Meeting

APBP Webinar Series: Education and Encouragement: bringing the Right People Together

Date:   Wednesday, Dec. 18

NOACA hosts viewings of the 2019 Association for Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) monthly webinar series as a way to bring stakeholders, colleagues, and clients together to explore bicycle and pedestrian issues and build support for active transportation. The webinars offer training credits that may meet professional accreditation requirements. To register for this webinar, please email bikeped@mpo.noaca.org.
