CLEVELAND (Monday, October 29, 2019)—NOACA committees and staff will hold meetings and events on the following dates and times. The public is welcome to attend.

Finance and Audit Committee

Date:   Friday, November 8

Governance Committee

2019 Vibrant NEO Champion Awards Luncheon

Date:   Thursday, November 14

Time:   11:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Place:  Roberta Steinbacher Atrium, Cleveland State University Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, 1717 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115

Join the Vibrant NEO Board (also known as the Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium) at its 2019 Champion Awards luncheon, which recognizes our top stewards who are leading the way to making Northeast Ohio a more equitable, sustainable and economically successful region. The luncheon includes awards presentations, a presentation by the winner of the Regional Champion Award, and a panel discussion. There is a fee to attend, and registration is required. The deadline to register is Thursday, Nov. 7.

 

ODOT Access Ohio 2045 Public Meeting

Date:   Thursday, November 14

Time:   4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Place: NOACA, 1299 Superior Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44114

Join the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) at a public meeting to look at Ohio’s transportation system of tomorrow. The meeting is an open house format with presentations at 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. Registration is requested, and more information can be found on the Access Ohio 2045 registration page.

 

Transit Council

Date:   Friday, November 15

Great Lakes Hyperloop Public Meeting

Date:   Monday, November 18
Time:   6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Place:  Cuyahoga Community College—Metro Campus, Jerry Sue Thornton Center, Ford Room, 2500 East 22nd Street, Cleveland, OH 44115

Join NOACA for a presentation about the Great Lakes Hyperloop System. Hear how the project has progressed and about the soon-to-be-released feasibility study analysis, which includes information on top speed travel in less than an hour with connections to Chicago to Cleveland and Pittsburgh, job and economic impacts to our region, and emissions savings and sustainable travel. There will also be an opportunity to take a survey about fare costs and future amenities. Registration for the Hyperloop public meeting is requested. 

APBP Webinar Series: Getting the Green Light: Improving Actuation and Detection for Cyclists & Pedestrians

Date:   Wednesday, November 20

Time:   3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

NOACA hosts viewings of the 2018 Association for Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) monthly webinar series as a way to bring stakeholders, colleagues, and clients together to explore bicycle and pedestrian issues and build support for active transportation. The webinars offer training credits that may meet professional accreditation requirements. To register for this webinar, please email bikeped@mpo.noaca.org.

 

NOTE: NOACA will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day, and on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29, in observance of Thanksgiving.
