Title: I-90 Preventive Maintenance in Westlake
Sponsor: ODOT-District 12

Estimated Total Cost: $1,650,000
Proposed Source of Federal Funds: ODOT
History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12’ SFY 2009 Pavement Program.
Current Conditions: I-90 is functionally classified as an interstate. This section of I-90 is three lanes in each direction, with a pavement width of 36 feet. The average daily traffic (ADT) varies depending on segment. The legal speed limit is 50 miles per hour (mph).
Proposed Project: The project involves preventive maintenance along 4.52 miles of I-90, from the Lorain County/ Cuyahoga County line to Clague Road in Westlake. The construction cost is estimated at $1,650,000. Ninety percent of the construction cost ($1,485,000) will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. Ten percent of the construction cost ($165,000) will be funded by ODOT. This project has an estimated award date of June 2009.

- This project meets NOACA’s Connections 2030 Goal # 3 (Preserve and Improve the Efficiency of the Transportation System) and ODOT’s Access Ohio Goal # 1 (System Preservation and Management).
