History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12’s SFY 2010 Bridge Program.
Current Conditions: Warrensville Center Road, from Columbus Road to Union Street, is functionally classified as a minor arterial. It is a six-lane facility with three lanes, twelve feet wide, in each direction and sidewalks six feet wide.The legal speed limit is 35 miles per hour (mph). The average daily traffic (ADT) is 38,042 vehicles per day with two percent trucks (2002 count provided by ODOT 12). GCRTA operates along this segment of Warrensville Center Road (Route #34).
Proposed Project: This project involves replacing the deck of the bridge on Warrensville Center Road, over IR-480, in Warrensville Heights. The estimated cost of construction is $4,000,000. Ninety percent ($3,600,000) of the construction cost will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. The non-federal share of construction ($400,000) will be provided by ODOT. The project has an estimated award date of October 2009.

- Refer to the Regional Transportation System Team (RTS) for pavement condition rating (PCR) and Bicycle Advisory Council (BAC) for bicycle lane consideration.and Bicycle Advisory Council for bicycle recommendation.

- The general appraisal rating for this bridge is 5 (fair).
- Move for committee and public review with consideration of comments.

- No comments; recommended for amendment to NOACA's Transportation Plan.
