On December 8, 2006, the NOACA Governing Board approved the following regarding this project: Resolution No. 2006-047 Project Planning Review Resolution No. 2006-048 Plan Amendment Title:  Replacement of the Deck of a Bridge on Warrensville Center Road, in Warrensville Hts Sponsor:  Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 12 PID No. 80558 Estimated Total Cost: $4,000,000 Proposed Source of Federal Funds: ODOT History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12’s SFY 2010 Bridge Program. Current Conditions: Warrensville Center Road, from Columbus Road to Union Street, is functionally classified as a minor arterial. It is a six-lane facility with three lanes, twelve feet wide, in each direction and sidewalks six feet wide.The legal speed limit is 35 miles per hour (mph). The average daily traffic (ADT) is 38,042 vehicles per day with two percent trucks (2002 count provided by ODOT 12). GCRTA operates along this segment of Warrensville Center Road (Route #34). Proposed Project:  This project involves replacing the deck of the bridge on Warrensville Center Road, over IR-480, in Warrensville Heights. The estimated cost of construction is $4,000,000. Ninety percent ($3,600,000) of the construction cost will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. The non-federal share of construction ($400,000) will be provided by ODOT. The project has an estimated award date of October 2009. Staff Comment (Summary): Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Team: This project promotes NOACA's Connections 2030 Plan Goal 3 (Preserve and Improve the Efficiency of the Transportation System) and ODOT's Access Ohio Goal 1 (System Preservation and Management). Transit service may be disrupted during construction. This project is located in an Urban Core Community - Warrenville Heights. Move for committee and public review in order to obtain comments.
