The NOACA Governing Board approved the following projects for inclusion in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) by adopting Resolution No. 2002-075 on December 13, 2002.
Title: Bridge Replacement on Warrensville Center Road in Warrensville Heights

History/Background:
The bridge on Warrensville Center Road over the Norfolk Southern Railroad in Warrensville Heights has been approved for CEAO-administered local bridge (LBR) program funds.
Current Conditions:
The Warrensville Center Road bridge is located over the Norfolk Southern Railroad in Warrensville Heights. The average daily traffic is 26,956 vehicles (1999 counts). The bridge is 52' wide and a length of 51'. This section of Warrensville Center Road is a minor arterial. The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) offers service along this route (#s 15F, 41 and 802).
Proposed Project:
This project involves the replacement of the bridge on Warrensville Center Road. Total construction cost is estimated to be $1,370,000. The bridge will be constructed with CEAO LBR funds (100 percent). Construction will be programmed for beyond SFY 2005 (i.e. SFY 2007). The project would be administered locally.
Staff Comment (Summary):
- Move for committee and public review in order to obtain comments.
- This project will serve an urban core community and environmental justice (EJ) populations using auto and transit.
- GCRTA's Red Line operation may be affected during construction since the bridge is over the Red Line tracks.
