Title: Bridge Replacement on West 130th Street in Cleveland

History/Background:
The bridge on West 130th Street, over a branch of Big Creek in Cleveland, has been approved for CEAO-administered local bridge (LBR) program funds.
Current Conditions:
The West 130th Street bridge is located over a branch of Big Creek in Cleveland. The average daily traffic is 11,980 vehicles (2000 count). The bridge is 48' wide and 27' long. This section of West 130th Street is a minor arterial. The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) offers service along this route (# 83).
Proposed Project:
This project involves the replacement of the bridge on West 130th Street. Total construction cost is estimated at $781,000. The bridge will be constructed with CEAO LBR funds (100 percent). Construction will be programmed for beyond SFY 2005 (i.e. SFY 2007). The project would be administered locally.

Staff Comment (Summary):

• Move for committee and public review in order to obtain comments.
• This project will serve an urban core community and environmental justice (EJ) populations using auto and transit.
• Construction should be coordinated with GCRTA.
