The NOACA Governing Board approved the following projects for inclusion in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) by adopting Resolution No. 2002-075 on December 13, 2002.
Title: Bridge Rehabilitation on Triskett Road in Cleveland

History/Background:
The bridge rehabilitation on Triskett Road was approved for CEAO-administered Surface Transportation Program (C/STP)/local bridge (LBR) program funds in March 2001.
Current Conditions:
The Triskett Road bridge is located over Norfolk Southern (NS) railroad and Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) Red Line in Cleveland. GCRTA has service along Triskett Road (routes # 70 and #83). The average daily traffic is 10,206 vehicles (1998 count). The bridge is 40' wide and 231' long. Triskett Road is a minor arterial.
Proposed Project:
This project involves the rehabilitation of the Triskett Road bridge. The total construction cost is estimated at $2,795,500. The bridge will be constructed with CEAO LBR funds (100 percent). Construction will be programmed for beyond SFY 2005 (i.e. SFY 2007). The project would be administered locally.
Staff Comment (Summary):
- This project will serve an urban core community and environmental justice (EJ) populations using auto and transit.
- GCRTA's Red Line operation may be affected during construction since the bridge is over the Red Line tracks.
- Move for committee and public review in order to obtain comments.
