Media Invited to NOACA Reception on August 24 for Recipients of Planning Awards

The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) will hold a reception for the recipients of its Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative (TLCI) planning awards on Friday, August 24, at 10:30 a.m. at its offices at 1299 Superior Avenue in Cleveland.

The TLCI planning awards of up to $75,000 per study are intended to improve the economy as well as the quality of life in neighborhoods in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina counties. A total of nearly $750,000 was awarded for 12 studies at the August 10, 2007, Governing Board meeting. The list of recipients is available on NOACA’s Web site.

The media are invited to attend the reception and discuss the projects with the communities that received the awards. Light refreshments will be served.
