History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12’s State Fiscal Year 2010 Sign Maintenance/Repair Program.

Current Conditions: Roadway characteristics and average daily traffic vary depending on roadway segment.

Proposed Project: This project involves a systematic sign replacement at various locations along SR-2, from just west of the Main Avenue Bridge to I-90 and along SR-176 (Jennings Freeway), from I-480 to I-90, in Cleveland (location map). The estimated construction cost is $275,000. Ninety percent ($247,500) of the construction cost will be funded with National Highway System (NH) funds. ODOT will fund ten percent of the construction cost ($27,500). The project has an award date of April 29, 2010.

Plan and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Team:
  • This project is consistent with NOACA’s Connections 2030 Plan Goal #3 (Preserve and Improve the Efficiency of the Transportation System) and ODOT’s Access Ohio 2004 - 2030 Goal #3 (Efficient, Reliable Traffic Flow).
  • Recommend committee and public review in order to obtain comments.
