History/Background: This project is to be funded with ODOT District 3, Bridge Allocation of Bridge Replacement/Rehabilitation (BR) funds.
Current Conditions: SR-162 (New London-Lafayette Road) is functionally classified as rural major collector. The average daily traffic (ADT) on SR-162 is 760 vehicles per day (2000 traffic count). The speed limit is 55 miles per hour (mph).
Proposed Project: This project involves the replacement of a bridge on SR-162, over a tributary of Charlemont Creek, and removal a roadway slip area, in Huntington Township. The project contains about 1,900 feet of roadway work and the bridge replacement. A consultant will be hired to prepare plans. Construction will be scheduled for SFY 2003. Eighty percent of the construction cost will be funded with BR funds. Twenty percent of the construction cost will funded by ODOT District 3.
