On September 12, 2008, the NOACA Governing Board approved the following regarding this project: Resolution No. 2008-026 Project Planning Review Resolution No. 2008-027 Plan and TIP Amendment Title: Slope Repair on I-480 in Brooklyn Heights Sponsor: Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 12 PID No: 84096 Estimated Total Cost: $385,000 Proposed Source of Federal Funds: ODOT History/Background: ODOT District 12 is the sponsor of this project. Current Conditions: I-480 is functionally classified as an interstate. The legal speed limit is 55 miles per hour. The average daily traffic is 148,750 vehicles per day (NOACA Cuyahoga County Highway Traffic Counts, published 2004). Proposed Project: This project involves slope repair on I-480, east of Lancaster Road, in Brooklyn Heights. The estimated cost of construction is $385,500. Ninety percent ($346,500) of the construction cost will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. The non-federal share of construction ($38,500) will be provided by ODOT. The sponsor estimates the project can be awarded in SFY 2009.
