Riders Wanted for Lorain County Vanpool

Attention, commuters from Oberlin, Grafton, Lorain, LaGrange, Elyria and surrounding communities who work in downtown Cleveland: share the expenses of traveling to work with others by joining a RIDESHARE! vanpool.

A vanpool which has operated in Lorain County for over 10 years actively seeks additional riders. The vanpool runs Monday through Friday and offers convenient pick-up locations and times. The van departs from Lorain City Hall at 6:35 am, stops at two other pick up points and arrives in downtown Cleveland between 7:25 and 7:35 am. In the evening, commuters meet at designated areas in Cleveland between 5:00 and 5:15 pm for the return trip home.

Many employers offer incentive programs that provide additional cost savings for vanpool riders, for example, vanpool seat subsidies. Vanpoolers may also take advantage of the Guaranteed Ride Home program, which offers riders a ride home should an unexpected emergency arise during the day. Commuters interested in the Lorain County vanpool may join on a month-to-month basis without a long term obligation.
