What geographic area does NOACA serve?

In terms of the metropolitan planning function, NOACA’s planning area covers the five counties of Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina.  Some planning projects, however, transcend the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) boundaries.  Our air quality efforts include Summit and Portage counties to the south and Ashtabula County to the east.  Clean Water 2000 involves nine counties and was completed with the Northeast Ohio Four County Regional Development and Planning Organization (NEFCO).  To assist motorists with lengthy commutes, our RIDESHARE! Program coordinates carpool and vanpool ridematching for a 14-county area.
