Erwin J. Odeal
Executive Director, Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District


Erwin J. Odeal, Executive Director, NEORSD Photo Erwin J. Odeal has been the executive director of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District since May 1983. He supervises and is responsible for all activities of the District. He served as the Sewer District’s deputy director for five years prior to being appointed executive director, and as manager of planning for the four previous years. As planning manager, he oversaw the development of planning and environmental studies for the Sewer District’s capital improvement program. Before joining the Sewer District, Mr. Odeal served as district engineer for the Ohio Department of Health and as district engineer for the Three Rivers Watershed District.

He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Akron. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.

Mr. Odeal is a member of NOACA’s Governing Board. He is also the past treasurer of the Water Environment Federation, past president of the Association of Metropolitan Sewerage Agencies (AMSA), and past chairman of Water Environment Research Foundation.

Mr. Odeal was the 2007 winner of the Walter F. Ehrnfelt, Jr. Award for Outstanding Regional Contribution announced at the 8th Annual Summit, "Changes & Challenges" held on Friday, June 8, 2007.
