Jerse Elected NOACA Governing Board President

At its meeting today, the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) Governing Board elected Cuyahoga County Director of Regional Collaboration Edward Jerse as board president for calendar year 2012. Jerse works in the office of Cuyahoga County Executive Edward FitzGerald. Jerse congratulated outgoing president Stephen Hambley and noted, “We are lucky to have Steve Hambley, a three-time NOACA Governing Board president, and all his experience, on the board with us this year.”

“I look forward to the coming months,” he added. “NOACA will conclude its search for a new executive director to succeed Howard R. Maier and we will continue to monitor the Ohio Turnpike privatization proposal. We’ll also implement the regional household travel survey, which will supply staff with information about how people travel in the region and help determine projects and programs for northeast Ohio’s long-range transportation plan.”
