Install/Replace Guardrails along various roadways in Medina County

 

The NOACA Governing Board approved the following project as a candidate to be amended to the NOACA Transportation Plan by adopting Resolution No. 2004-057 and as a proposed amendment to the TIP by adopting Resolution 2004-058 on December 10, 2004.

Title: Install/Replace Guardrails along various roadways in Medina County

Estimated Total Cost: $200,000
Proposed Source of Federal Funds: County Engineers Association of Ohio (CEAO)
History/Background:  The Medina County Engineer qualifies for a federal safety funding in the amount of $200,000 to be used for guardrail upgrades. CEAO approved County-attributable Surface Transportation Program (C/STP) funding for this project in state fiscal year SFY 2005.

Proposed Project: The project involves repairing, replacing or installing guardrails along various county roads at identified locations throughout Medina County. The county will inspect installed guardrails and review unprotected areas that may require guardrails. In-house staff will design the project. The County Engineer intends to administer this project under the “non-traditional program” guidelines.
