Medina County is 422 square miles with a U.S. Bureau of the Census 2006 population estimate of 169,353. It
is named for an Arabian city to which Mohammed had fled in the 7th century A.D.
Medina has four cities, six villages, and 17 townships. The County seat is the City of Medina. The three County Commissioners are: Patricia G. Geissman, Stephen D. Hambley (a member of the NOACA Governing Board) and Sharon A. Ray.
