History/Background:
This project is included in ODOT District 12's Major Bridge Program.

Current Conditions:
In this project area SR-2 is functionally classified as a principal arterial.  The legal speed limit is 55 miles per hour (mph). The average daily traffic (ADT) is 31,700 vehicles per day (1996 count).  

Proposed Project:
This project involves painting the Main Avenue Bridge over the Cuyahoga River Valley in Cleveland.

Eighty percent ($4,560,000) of the construction (C) cost will be funded from the Major Bridge category of Bridge Replacement/Rehabilitation (BR) funds. ODOT will fund the 20%  ($1,140,000) non-federal share. This project would begin in SFY 2003.
