Replace Twin Structures on I-90 in Leroy & Perry Townships

 

The NOACA Governing Board approved the following project as a candidate to be amended to the NOACA Transportation Plan by adopting Resolution No. 2004-044 and as a proposed amendment to the TIP by adopting Resolution 2004-045 on September 10, 2004.

Title: Replace Twin Bridges on I-90 in Leroy Township and Perry Township

Proposed Source of Federal Funds: ODOT

History/Background:
This project is included in the ODOT District 12 Major Bridge Program.

Current Conditions:
I-90 is functionally classified as a rural interstate. It is a four-lane facility with lanes twelve feet (12’) wide. The legal speed limit is 60 miles per hour (mph). The average daily traffic (ADT) is 37,322 vehicles per day (2002 count).

Proposed Project:
This project involves replacing the twin bridges on I-90, over the Grand River, in Leroy Township and Perry Township. The total preliminary engineering (PE) cost is estimated at $1,670,000. The total construction cost is estimated at $33,000,000. Ninety percent ($29,700,000) of the construction (C) cost will be funded from Major Bridge Program (BR) funds. ODOT will fund the 10% ($3,300,000) non-federal share. The project has an award date of June 2006.
