NOACA Region

Lake County is 231 square miles with a U.S. Bureau of the Census 2006 population estimate of 232,892.  The name is relative to its position of bordering Lake Erie.

Lake County has nine cities, nine villages and five townships.  The County seat is the City of Painesville.  There are three County Commissioners (who also serve as NOACA Governing Board members): Robert E. Aufuldish, Raymond E. Sines and Daniel P. Troy.

At the November 13, 2009 Board meeting, highlights of Lake County activities was distributed.

Public transit is provided by LAKETRAN.  Lake County is serviced by Lost Nation Airport in Willoughby.
