Pavement Rehabilitation on IR-90 in Concord & Leroy Townships

History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12’s 2009 Pavement Program, Bridge Program and Major Rehabilitation Program.

Current Conditions:  I-90 is functionally classified in both urbanized and rural areas as an interstate. This section of I-90 is two lanes in each direction with a pavement width of 24’ (in each direction). The average daily traffic (ADT) varies between 33,720 and 40,660 vehicle per day (depending on roadway segment) 2002 traffic count. The legal speed limit is 65 miles per hour (mph).

Proposed Project:  The project involves the major rehabilitation of 8.53 miles of I-90, from Morley Road to Paine Road, in Concord Township and Leroy Township. The preliminary engineering (PE) cost is estimated at $ 2,050,000 and is to be funded with 100% State funds. The construction cost is estimated at $22,550,000. Ninety percent (90%) of the construction cost ($20,295,000) will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. Ten percent (10%) of the construction cost ($2,255,000) will be funded by ODOT. This project has an estimated award date of October 15, 2008 (SFY 2009).
