About: NOACA develops bike maps for all 5 counties within the NOACA region in collaboration with county and local governments, metroparks systems, and non-profit organizations. The maps are living documents, and bike facilities are being added all the time. The bike map on NOACA’s GIS portal is updated regularly as new bikeways are constructed, and the paper maps will be updated every 3 years. Please send any additions, corrections, or comments to bikeped@mpo.noaca.org.

The Lake County Bike Map is being updated!
The process has begun to completely update the Lake County Bike Map, starting with data gathering and stakeholder outreach. The new bike map will show roadways according to who might feel comfortable riding on them. The map will also include bike lanes, bike routes (marked with “sharrows” or other pavement marking and/or signs), multiuse paths and trails, and even mountain bike trails. The map will be developed with the desire to balance a common format in all of our county maps while addressing the individual needs of the county.

Upcoming Meeting(s):

We need input from Lake County residents of all ages and biking experience levels, and you have three meetings to choose from. Meetings are open-house style, so please stop by even if you can’t attend the whole meeting. There will be a short presentation followed by activities to help you provide input on the new map.
