Upcoming NOACA Meetings & Events for February 2019

CLEVELAND (Tuesday, January 29, 2019)—NOACA committees and staff will hold meetings and events on the following dates and times. The public is welcome to attend.

Lake County Bike Map Meeting
Date: Tuesday, Feb. 5
Time: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Place: Morley Library (Meeting Room B), 184 Phelps St, Painesville, OH 44077
NOACA needs input from Lake County residents of all ages and experience levels. This meeting is open house style, so stop by even if you can't attend the whole meeting. Hear a short presentation followed by activities to help provide input on the new map.

Mayfield Heights Connectivity Study Public Open House
Wednesday, Feb. 6
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Place: DeJohn Community Center, 6306 Marsol Road, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124
This is the second of three public engagement opportunities for the Connectivity Study. At this meeting, the community feedback received so far will be shared, and input on the preliminary plan for improving bike and pedestrian connectivity within and beyond the City of Mayfield Heights will be solicited.

APBP Webinar Series: Viewing Low-Stress Networks Through an Equity Lens

NOACA hosts viewings of the 2018 Association for Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) monthly webinar series as a way to bring stakeholders, colleagues, and clients together to explore bicycle and pedestrian issues and build support for active transportation. The webinars offer training credits that may meet professional accreditation requirements. To register for this webinar, please email bikeped@mpo.noaca.org.

What’s Up with Pop-Ups?
Date: Thursday, Feb. 21
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Place: Goldhorn Brewery, Brew Pub Room, 1361 East 55th Street, Cleveland, OH 44103
Come hear how and why planners in Northeast Ohio are using pop-up projects, and about NOACA’s Street Supplies Program. Hosted by NOACA and American Planning Association (APA) Cleveland. Light appetizers will be provided. AICIP CM credits available.

NOTE: NOACA will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
