History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12’s 2008 Major Bridge Program.
Current Conditions: I-90 is functionally classified as an interstate. The pavement width is ninety-six feet (96’), eight lanes, each twelve feet (12’) wide. The legal speed limit is 60 miles per hour (mph). The width of the bridge is one hundred forty feet (140’). The average daily traffic (ADT) is 107,270 vehicles per day with seven percent (7%) trucks (2003 count). GCRTA operates bus flyer service along this segment.
Proposed Project: This project involves applying an overlay to the I-90 Bridge over the Rocky River Valley, in Rocky River and Lakewood. Ninety percent ($2,970,000) of the construction (C) cost will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. ODOT will fund the 10% ($330,000) non-federal share. This project would be awarded in January 2008 (SFY 2008).
