Fence Replacement along IR-90 in Cuyahoga County and Lake County

History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12’s State Fiscal Year 2010 Maintenance Program.

Current Conditions:I-90 is functionally classified as an urban interstate in the urbanized areas of Lake County and in Cuyahoga County. Roadway characteristics and average daily traffic vary depending on roadway segment.

Proposed Project: This project involves the replacement of fencing along I-90 from East 152nd Street to East 260th Street in the City of Euclid, in Cuyahoga County and along I-90, from River Road to County Line Road, in Madison Township and Madison Village, in Lake County (location map). The estimated construction cost is $620,000. Ninety percent ($558,000) of the construction cost will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. ODOT will fund ten percent ($62,000) of the construction cost. This project has an award date of January 21, 2010.

Plan and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Team:
  • This project is consistent with NOACA’s Connections 2030 Plan Goal #3 (Preserve and Improve the Efficiency of the Transportation System) and ODOT’s Access Ohio 2004 – 2030 Goal #1 (Transportation Safety).
  • Recommend committee and public review in order to obtain comments.
