Environmental Activities

 

NOACA’s Environmental Planning Division addresses Regional Water Quality issues such as 208 Water Quality Management Planning, GIS technical studies and Storm Water Planning, provides planning assistance to several Watersheds in the five county NOACA area.

The Environmental Planning Division also performs Air Quality Planning activities:

Oversight for the Environmental Planning Division is provided by the Environmental Advisory Committee of the NOACA Board which meets monthly.

NOACA’s Environmental Advisory Committee and Water Quality Subcommittee held a joint meeting on November 21, 2007. The following powerpoint presentation were made at the meeting Balanced Growth Initiative Pilot Projects: In addition, a presentation was made by Patrick Ernst, Office of Coastal Management, ODNR, on Ohio’s New Coastal Management Rules.

Following the meeting, Mr. Ernest forwarded the link to ODNR’s where the draft OAC rule package has been posted for review and comment by interested.
