Title: Paint Various Bridges on I-480 in Cuyahoga County
Sponsor: ODOT-District 12

Estimated Total Cost: $6,000,000
Proposed Source of Federal Funds: ODOT
History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12’s SFY 2010 Bridge Maintenance Program.
Current Conditions: I-480 is functionally classified as an urban interstate. Roadway characteristics and average daily traffic vary depending on roadway segment.
Proposed Project: This project involves painting bridges located on Rockside Road over I-271, in Bedford Heights;
I-480 eastbound ramps to and from SR-14 (Broadway Avenue) in Garfield Heights; I-480 eastbound over I-271 in Oakwood Village; and I-480 westbound over I-271 in Bedford Heights (location map). The estimated construction cost is $6,000,000. Ninety percent ($5,400,000) of the construction cost will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. ODOT will fund ten percent of the construction cost ($600,000). This project has an award date of January 1, 2011.

- This project is consistent with NOACA’s Connections 2030 Goal # 3 (Preserve and Improve the Efficiency of the Transportation System, and ODOT’s Access Ohio 2004 - 2030 Goal#4 (System Preservation).
- Recommend committee and public review in order to obtain comments.
Regional Transportation System (RTS) Team:
- This project is consistent with NOACA’s Connections 2030 Plan Goal #3 (Preserve and Improve the Efficiency of the Transportation System) and ODOT’s Access Ohio 2004 - 2030 Goal #4 (System Preservation).
- Recommend committee and public review in order to obtain comments.
