West Branch Community Based Watershed Strategy Released Black River Watershed

The Black River Watershed Project was initiated in January 2004 under the leadership of the Lorain County Community Development Department and the Delta Institute. The project focused on the West Branch of the Black River and set out to address environmental concerns in that watershed. The involvement of community members was sought as this helps to generate the best outcome. Dedicated community partners are working together to implement activities that will improve the health of the watershed today, tomorrow, and into the future.

The project team has just released its report titled: “West Branch Community Based Watershed Strategy.” This report and more detail on the Black River Watershed Project can be viewed on the Projects webpage.
