Air Quality Advisory for Northeast Ohio
Thursday , February 2, 2012
 



Northeast Ohio -
 An Air Quality Advisory for fine particles has been issued for Thursday, February 2, 2012 for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit Counties. Fine particles levels will be 'Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups' during peak hours.

 

Continued accumulation of pollutants from motor vehicle exhaust and other local sources will result in fine particles and haze in the atmosphere. These fine particles accumulate due to stagnant atmospheric conditions, presence of moisture and temperature inversion resulting in air pollution which will be unhealthy for sensitive groups.

 

If you are in the "Sensitive Groups" category of children, the elderly, and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity and Check Today's Air Quality for a live map of hourly air monitor readings. 

What You Can Do  

Please share your rides.  Find a partner at Ohio Rideshare - free, easy, safe!

Please ride the bus.  In Cuyahoga, try Ride RTA, in Lake County visit Laketran, and in Summit County visit Akron Metro
