At their April 12,2002 meeting NOACA Governing Board members approved a resolution adopting a list of major regional transportation investments scheduled for implementation over the next 20 years in Northeast Ohio. These projects, most of which will utilize federal funding, are part of an update to the region’s transportation plan, Framework for Action 2025. Tier 1 projects are those projects that have completed planning and the pre-construction phases of design and right-or-way. Tier 2 projects are in the project development stage and lack construction funding. Board approval of these investments allows staff to conduct air quality impact analysis.
Board members amended the State Fiscal Year 2002-2005 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) to include the following project for SFY 2002:
· Right-of-way acquisition for the reconstruction and widening of Colorado Avenue in Lorain County from Henderson Drive to the City of Lorain east corporation line. The construction phase of the project is already in the TIP and is programmed for implementation in SFY 2003.
NOACA staff presented the agency’s draft State Fiscal Year 2003 Overall Work Program (OWP). The OWP describes NOACA’s planning activities, budgets and products that are planned for SFY 2003 (July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003).
