History/Background: This project is included in ODOT District 12's State Fiscal Year 2009 Major Bridge Program

Current Conditions: The bridge on I-90 (Structure No. 4303482) has a sufficiency rating of 65.2 and a general appraisal of 6 as of December 16, 2005.

Proposed Project:  This project involves replacing the bridge deck on the I-90 ramp over I-271 in Willoughby Hills. The work will include fatigue analysis and potential structure widening for maintenance of traffic with a possible overhead structure jacking. The estimated cost of PE is $501,000 to be funded with 100% state funds. The estimated cost of construction is $6,400,000. Ninety percent ($5,760,000) of the construction will be funded with Interstate Maintenance (IM) funds. The non-federal share of construction ($640,000) will be provided by ODOT. The project has an estimated award date of January 2009.

  • This project promotes NOACA's Connections 2030 Plan Goal 3 (Preserve and Improve the Efficiency of the Transportation System) and ODOT's Access Ohio Goal 1 (System Preservation and Management).
  • Move for committee and public review in order to obtain comments.

  • This bridge has a sufficiency rating of 70.9 that makes it eligible for federal rehabilitation funds.
Plan Forecast Team:
  • Refer to the the Regional Transportation Investment Subcommittee and the Transportation Advisory Committee for consideration and comment.

Regional Transportation Investment Subcommittee (RTIS)/Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC):
  • No comments; recommended for amendment to NOACA's Transportation Plan and TIP.
